A bit of history
Founded in Montreal by Hans Kau in 1966, Mobilia is a family business with nine branches in Quebec and Ontario. Mélanie Kau, daughter of the founder was president from 1988 to 2011 and in 2014, Johannes Kau, son of the founder, took the chair of MOBILIA. In 2015, the company has 8 stores and its website becomes transactional. Mobilia.ca offers more than 1,000 products and delivers from British Columbia to New Brunswick. (Opposite, front of the first store that opened in 1966 in Montreal's Westmount district).

Welcome to 1966: year of creation of Mobilia!
The apartment that served as the first Mobilia store, in the Notre-Dame-de-Grace district of Montreal — called Scandinavian Furniture, The House of Teak — at the time.
The 70s, 80s and 90s
Mobilia broadens the horizons of its brand and opens branches in Ontario and throughout the Greater Montreal Area.
